Meet Socrates

Socrates Gomez is a New York-based Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker and creative leader, known for his thoughtful guidance, strategic mindset, and results-driven approach. A trusted advocate for his clients, he combines data-backed market insight with a deep understanding of New York City's ever-changing landscape to help buyers, sellers, and investors make confident, informed decisions.

After several successful years at Douglas Elliman and SERHANT, Socrates joined forces with R New York in 2025, where he continues to deliver the personalized attention, transparency, and professionalism his clients value most. His philosophy is simple: real estate is not just about the property, it's about people, goals, and creating clarity in what can often feel like a complex process.

Before real estate, Socrates spent over two decades as a Creative Director leading national and international branding, marketing, and publishing projects. This background gives him a distinctive edge, from positioning listings and crafting marketing narratives to understanding the emotional and aesthetic nuances that drive value.

Specializing in co-ops, condos across Manhattan and Brooklyn, Socrates brings a meticulous eye for detail, sensitivity to deadlines, and an unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for his clients.

Born in the Dominican Republic and a New Yorker since 1989, Socrates is a graduate of Parsons School of Design and earned his real estate license from the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate. He is a homeowner in the Lower East Side, where he lives with his wife and two young children, his greatest inspiration and daily reminder of why “home” matters.

How He Works

No pressure, no guessing. Three things you can expect
from the first call to the closing table.

1

Listen first

Goals, budget, non-negotiables, timeline. He learns what home means to you before showing you a single place.

2

Search with honesty

Straight talk on price, boards, and trade-offs. If a place is wrong for you, he will say so.

3

Negotiate and stay

Through setbacks, bidding, and board packages, he stays in your corner until the keys are yours, and after.
